Sunday 17th of Nov saw the last leg of our shore league sponsored by Daiwa.
The venue was Ballyhornan in Co.Down and hopes were high as this is a venue that can throw up some bigger fish and reports from during the week indicated that there were bass and coalie of 50cm about the venue.
In previous years we've taken a hammering on this venue with the weather. Yesterday was the exact opposite, the water was gin clear and super calm. No surf allowed the tide to pull out further than we've ever seen it here making fishing extremely difficult.
Here's our recorders report.
Venue: Ballyhornan 1500-2000hrs
Weather: Cold and very settled.
Tide/sea-state: Fished 2.5hrs down and 2.5hrs up on a flat sea.
Species caught: bass, flounder and rockling.
A very hard afternoons fishing due to the calm weather.
