Saturday 29 March saw the third leg of our shore league at Carnlough. Despite a fairly clean beach and quite a "slappy" surf caused by the brisk Westerly wind it was a bit of a grind as we expected for March, with anglers working hard to wrangle out only a few fish.
Here's our recorders report.
Venue: Carnlough 1800-2300
Tide/sea-state: Fished five hrs up to high tide on a moderate surf.
Weather: mild with a brisk westerly wind.
Species caught: whiting, coalie, rockling, flounder, bass and dogfish.
Despite an extensive list of species caught, fish were not about in big numbers.
